Nothing leaves your iPhone.
Lockout does not collect, store on a server, sell or share any personal data. This page explains what the app does with the information it handles on your device.
Camera
Lockout uses the camera to check your reps. Camera frames are analysed on your iPhone by an on-device pose model to find the position of your joints. Video is not recorded, not saved, and never uploaded. Each frame is discarded as soon as it has been analysed. You can withdraw camera access at any time in iOS Settings; the app cannot verify reps without it.
Information stored on your device
The app keeps the following on your iPhone only, in the app's local storage:
- The first name you optionally enter during setup.
- Your answers to the setup questions (training goal, starting level, weekly session goal).
- Your training progress: verified and rejected rep counts, sets completed, and which skills are open.
- Your settings, such as tempo, metronome and voice cues.
This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app, or using Reset progress in the app, removes it.
Lockout also keeps a log of each finished set (date, movement, verified and rejected reps, and the depth, hip line and lowering time the camera measured) so it can show your streak, league and before / after. If you choose to share your before / after card, the image goes only where you send it through the iOS share sheet; saving it to Photos uses add-only access and the app cannot read your photo library.
What we do not do
- No account, sign-in or email address is required.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking software is included.
- No data is shared with or sold to third parties.
- The app does not track you across other apps or websites.
Third-party software
Pose tracking uses Google's MediaPipe library, which runs entirely on your device inside the app and does not send data over the network.
Children
Lockout is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
This website
This website does not use cookies or analytics. It loads its typeface from Google Fonts, and it is served by a hosting provider; both may log standard technical information such as your IP address when you load a page.
Changes
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, this policy will be updated and the date above will change.
